A little bit of chit-chat
Theta, the latest Cosmos upgrade, launched on Monday, making Interchain Accounts live, one of the most awaited features in the Cosmos. This upgrade also brings security patches and some IBC improvements.
Evmos is also getting ready to relaunch its mainnet after April 15th. The team deployed its testnet successfully, and at the time of writing, six applications, including Diffusion, SpaceFi, Band Protocol and Coslend are already live on the testnet.
Osmosis launched its Frontier frontend, a platform intended to allow full permissionless listing and curation of assets. On Frontier, users will also be able to test the various bridging UX flows before voting on the canonical bridge for the primary front-end.
We took privacy to Amsterdam! 🛡️
Last Friday, we hosted our first IRL event, Privacy in Cosmos, featuring some of the top projects in the ecosystem. In the video above, you can watch the talks on the main stage, including those of the Interchain Foundation, Sommelier, Evmos, Anoma, Nym, Quicksilver, Penumbra and Axelar.
A recap will soon be published on our Medium account.
A marketplace is just around the corner 🚀
Stargaze announced a potential date for the launch of its marketplace. According to communication on the project’s official Discord, the team is targeting June 6th as their launch date.
The timeline is based on Oak Security's work schedule, the firm auditing the platform. They will start performing the audit on May 16th with a 1.5-week work turnaround. Once Oak Security finishes the audit, the team will focus on solving any bugs raised and finalise the platform for a smooth launch. According to the communication, it is a conservative and highly achievable target. Stargaze launched its genesis mint on March 11th and currently has its launchpad live with 30 collections available.
Building the next generation of Cosmos Devs 🥷
The Interchain Foundation launched a program to educate the next generation of Cosmos developers. The part-time, 10 hours a week, program will take place from May 12th to July 7th 2022, and promises to help developers “master Cosmos” in those six weeks.
The Interchain Developer Academy, the official program's name, will host 150 participants, who will receive instruction from top community developers on topics such as the Cosmos SDK, the Tendermint consensus algorithm, and the Inter Blockchain Protocol.
The program is fully funded by the ICF and will also provide access to the community job pool. Candidates will have the chance to secure employment at the different projects in the ecosystem. To be eligible for the program, candidates should have at least 3 years of professional programming experience. Applications opened on April 7th, and participants should expect to receive their screening results on May 10th.
Airdrops List 💦
Surprisingly enough, no important airdrops are coming up this week.
