A little bit of Chit-chat
On Feb 28th, Osmosis released “Superfluid Staking”, allowing Liquidity Providers to stake their $OSMO while locked in a liquidity pool. Currently, it will be only available for Pool #1 (ATOM/OSMO) for those who bond with a 14-day unbonding period. According to an official statement, once users add liquidity to a participating pool, they will be given the option to superfluid stake that position with the validator of their choice. At the moment, governance rights will be limited.
A long-awaited launch of EVMOS’ mainnet happened on March 2nd. After launch, there were 125 validators, including ZKValidator, active with over 20,000 transactions in the first 24 hours of operations.
Our validator address is evmos1hdslyd0vwj8ym368tqc5jdpu6hxrqvx90hfy9l You can delegate to us here and soon through your Keplr wallet. Almost everyone who has used DeFi on Ethereum, or staked ATOM or OSMO is eligible to claim the EVMOS airdrop. Read the guide here to claim.
Meanwhile, Stargaze carried out its Genesis Mint on Friday, March 4th, two days after the initially planned date due to last-minute operational challenges. The Genesis Mint was composed of 15 NFTs projects, each showcasing a “sample NFT”.
Axelar, a decentralised interoperability network connecting all blockchains, assets and apps, announced its exclusive public token sale on CoinList. It will begin on March 9, 18:00 UTC with one sale option: $1.00 per token, a minimum purchase of $100 and a maximum of $750. Tokens will unlock around May 11, 2022, followed by a 9-month linear release.
Osmosis expanding to new horizons 🔭
Osmosis is currently looking for a bridge provider. The team published a pre-vote poll to let the community participate in the discussion. There were seven candidates: Wormhole, Gravity Bridge, Axelar, Nomad, Umee and SIF.
The poll closed on March 3rd at 3:50 PM CET, and had over 12,700 participants. Nomad won the poll with 47.78% of the vote, closely followed by Axelar with 43.5% of the approvals.
A formal proposal will be opened to gather the final vote on the matter and move forward with the bridge that will connect Osmosis to other networks beyond existing IBC channels.
Ethereum + Cosmos = Big Bang 💥
Kava network will deploy the alpha version of its “co-chain” this March 8th. In this version, developers will have a first glance at the chain that aims to connect Ethereum and Cosmos in one network.
The protocols that will be able to test the stability of the network in this closed Alpha event have been previously selected from their Kava Pioneers Program. There will be representation from different verticals such as Play to Earn (Elfin Kingdom), Cross-Chain Router Protocol (Multichain), Bridges (Ren Protocol), and other dApps.
On April 5th, Kava will launch its public Beta while mainnet is scheduled for launch on May 5th.

Speakers will go over the role of private zones in the ecosystem, DeFi and privacy, bridges and interoperable zones, Data Availability and ZK technology. The event will also feature the latest updates from top Cosmos projects.
Eco-friendly Cosmos 🍀
Regen Network, specialised in carbon credits to fight climate change, has passed a recent proposal to upgrade their software and allow their ecocredits to be exported to the whole Cosmos ecosystem.
According to the proposal, there is a demand of “80,000 CO2 tons per year to offset the "Scope 1" emissions (validator infrastructure emissions) of the cosmos ecosystem”. With the new upgrade, apparently, Regen’s ecocredits will be able to find other markets and help offset other types of ecological challenges.
At the time of writing, with a turnout of 65.29%, 100% of the votes were leaning towards approving the upgrade. Once the vote finishes on March 12th, the upgrade will be deployed on March 14th.
Airdrops List 💦
It is difficult to ignore all the airdrops happening in the Cosmos ecosystem. So here is a list of airdrops for the week.
