A little bit of chit-chat
Proposal 818 has ignited extensive discussions within the Cosmos community. The essence of this proposal revolves around soliciting the Hub's governance approval to impose penalties on two validators. These validators encountered complications during an update on Neutron, resulting in a chain halt. The crux of the proposal hinges on community consensus regarding the necessity of slashing these two validators. Notably, Citizen Cosmos, one of the validators implicated in the incident, has publicized its stance. They attribute the issue to a "bad update" and affirm the absence of any deliberate malicious intent leading to double signing. This proposal marks a significant milestone as it initiates substantial discourse concerning a Consumer Chain within the Cosmos Hub governance structure.

Celestia announced the end of its incentivized testnet program, The BlockSpace Race. The program, which ZKValidator was part of and ranked 4th out of 75 winners, was the largest incentivized testnet ever by participant count of any layer 1 project.
Here are some stats from the program:
835 rollups were deployed
The average block time was 10.9 seconds
The average validator uptime was 98.33%, while the average node uptime was 98.72%
A total of 100 validators participated in the network meanwhile, 740 light nodes were active.
As a highlight, ZKValidator built the Ignite Manager, which streamlines the deployment of rollups with Rollkit. Also, we launched Fabchain, a rollup that can operate on a 3D Printer. Although there’s no confirmed date yet, Celestia has communicated that mainnet will launch this year.
Modular lab
Osmosis will be part of the Modular Ecosystem, signifying a strategic move towards enhanced connectivity and security. At the heart of this integration lies Osmosis' pivotal role as a conduit for liquidity between modular chains and the broader Cosmos network. This step is designed to facilitate seamless liquidity flow, addressing a key challenge in the evolving landscape of interconnected chains. The integration will be facilitated in part by Hyperlane to enhance Osmosis' connectivity efforts.
By introducing Rollkit-style fraud proofs, Osmosis aims to counter undesirable behaviours within the mesh-secured chains, encompassing both consensus faults and state validity faults. Leveraging Celestia light nodes operated by validators, Osmosis ensures data availability, reinforcing cross-chain transaction reliability. Positioned at the intersection of interconnectivity and security, Osmosis' integration into the Modular Ecosystem promises to foster a more robust and collaborative blockchain environment within the Cosmos network.
